The Fantasy Sports Trade Association (FSTA) today released the following statement attributed to FSTA Chairman Peter Schoenke, regarding legislation to keep fantasy sports legal in the State of Florida.
The Fantasy Sports Trade Association (FSTA), which has represented the industry since 1998, announced today that it will form the Fantasy Sports Control Agency (FSCA) and appoint Former Acting U.S. Secretary of Labor Seth D. Harris to chair the independent agency charged with creating a strict, transparent and effective system of self-regulation for the businesses that comprise the fantasy sports industry.
The Fantasy Sports Trade Association strongly supports DraftKings in its commitment to maintaining the trust of its customers. Fantasy Sports Participation Grows Dramatically; Hits New Milestone, Reaching Nearly 57 Million in U.S. and Canada – Fantasy sports participation in the United States and Canada has reached the 56.8-million mark according to new research conducted by Ipsos Public Affairs for the Fantasy Sports Trade Association (FSTA). This mark easily tops the highest number of players recorded in the six years the study has been conducted, decimating the participation numbers from last year.
A large majority of Louisianians (70 percent) support the full legalization of fantasy sports in the state, according to a poll conducted by international research firm Ipsos for the Fantasy Sports Trade Association.
